About

Personal Life

Born and raised in Texas. He is the oldest of four kids. His family attended a Baptist church, which they attended every Sunday and Wednesday. Most days after school, he played in the creek with his friends till he could hear the giant bell that perched a post in his front yard ring, signaling it was time for dinner. Soccer was his sport growing up. English was his favorite subject in school. In his young adult years, Jordan became an alcoholic. After many rehabs, jails, and psych ward stays, he got sober at age 24. By that time he was divorced and had his first son. But life really got interesting when, while on business trip with his little sister, they went to Atlanta Zoo. From that day forward, pandas were his favorite animal, you could even say his spirit animal.

Work Life

Jordan taught high school English for a few years, then was promoted to a district instructional coach. He then made a sharp turn and went to work as a consultant in the software business. Today, he works for himself as a writer, consultant, keynote speaker, and software developer.

Jordan believes that a positive and virtuous work culture is the biggest competitive advantage an organization could have, as it fosters an environment where employees feel valued and motivated to contribute their best efforts. This kind of culture not only enhances collaboration and communication among team members but also promotes innovation and creativity, leading to improved problem-solving capabilities. Additionally, a strong work culture attracts top talent, reduces employee turnover, and ultimately drives higher productivity and business success, making it an essential pillar for any thriving organization.

People want to be the best version of themselves, and they want to work somewhere they can be valued, heard, respected, and given every opportunity to grow, thrive, and flourish. They also want to work for a company that shares their same core beliefs, and makes real efforts to infuse those core beliefs in their processes.

School Life

Jordan earned his doctorate (Ed.D) from ACU in 2024. This was a life long dream of his, and he accomplished it. There’s only one catch. He can’t take any credit for it. The credit goes to God, his wife, and his spiritual advisor, plus many others. He’s great with that.

He also holds a master’s of education in curriculum and instructions with emphasis on literacy studies from UTA, and a bachelor of arts in creative writing from UNT.
